PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Zuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morris kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Twiztid - Darkness. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Zuka lands a high kick to the side of Morris's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Zuka dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Jack Morris has been cut.
Zuka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Morris looking for a sweep. Not yet Morris, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris wants to stand and escape but Zuka is having none of it.
Morris trying to keep a closed guard but Zuka is proving a slippery customer.

Zuka gets to his feet - Morris follows without any prompting.
Morris comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zuka.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morris avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zuka scores with a leg kick.

A knee to the head by Zuka.

Zuka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zuka slips under a jab.

Zuka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morris, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zuka landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Morris is breathing heavily.
Zuka lands a nice elbow.

Morris is rocked!
Morris blocks an elbow strike.
Oh Morris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zuka misses with an elbow over the top.
Zuka has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Morris - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zuka, and another! Morris is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
