Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Knight (ranked 3984 p4p, 3766 weight class) and Islam Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magomedov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. A kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Islam Magomedov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Magomedov enables Knight to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Magomedov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Knight drops back, looking for a kneebar! Magomedov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Magomedov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Magomedov!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Magomedov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Magomedov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Magomedov in particular looking to stall.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Magomedov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Knight has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Magomedov is looking to defend but Knight has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Magomedov! Knight pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Magomedov taps out and this one is all over!
