Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Pawn (ranked 2732 p4p, 3583 weight class) and Kamizaki Mitler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamizaki Mitler will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nate Pawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kamizaki Mitler!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitler closes the distance but Pawn moves to the side
and Pawn counters with a nice uppercut.
Mitler tries to clinch there but Pawn circles away.
Pawn appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Mitler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mitler shoots in for a takedown but Pawn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Pawn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mitler.
Mitler just misses with a punch to the body.

Mitler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pawn, pushing him back against the cage.
Pawn blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pawn works on Mitler's body with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mitler struggles to land a body shot inside as Pawn controls his hands.

Mitler gets control of Pawn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mitler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Pawn stands up from Mitler's guard - Pawn perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mitler tries to clinch but Pawn is having none of it.

Mitler gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pawn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mitler's efforts to push away.
Mitler tries to pull guard but Pawn forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mitler doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Pawn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Pawn counters with a straight right hand.
Pawn darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pawn ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mitler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mitler tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Pawn to counter with a crisp jab.

Mitler wants to clinch.
It looked like Pawn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mitler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pawn counters with a straight right hand.
Pawn connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mitler is rocked!
Nate Pawn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kamizaki Mitler.
Mitler takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kamizaki Mitler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitler tries to clinch but Pawn moves out of range.

Mitler is looking to clinch but Pawn is avoiding it.

Pawn misses with a looping right.
Mitler is looking to clinch but Pawn is avoiding it.
Pawn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mitler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pawn pinned against the cage. Pawn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A head kick by Mitler misses
and Mitler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Mitler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pawn.

Pawn is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Mitler doesn't manage to clinch there - Pawn circles away.
Pawn is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Mitler throws a head kick that misses.
Mitler throws a lazy body kick
and Pawn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Mitler forces Pawn back against the cage and clinches.
Pawn softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Pawn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Mitler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pawn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nate Pawn dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mitler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pawn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mitler can do to turn this around?

Pawn digs a right hand underneath Mitler's ribcage. Mitler let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pawn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

enabling Pawn to counter with a crisp jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Pawn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mitler is still on wobbly legs! Can Pawn finish him?

Pawn moves out of range of the leg kick from Mitler.
Mitler seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
