Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1555 p4p, 2725 weight class) and Kari Mountain (ranked 189 p4p, 296 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Kari Mountain will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 60 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima moves into the clinch. Shima stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Mountain looking to stall.
Mountain wants to get back to striking at distance but Shima won't allow it.
Shima lands a hook to the side of the head. Mountain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mountain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mountain misses with a lunging right hand
and Shima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mountain slips a jab and a cross from Shima.
Shima drives through and clinches with Mountain against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shima keeps control of Mountain as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mountain is looking to break free of the clinch but Shima has double underhooks. Mountain is trying to push Shima away but Shima has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mountain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Mountain throws a series of punches but Shima avoids them all with ease. Shima jabbing away but nothing is landing. Shima looks to land a right hand but Mountain moved out of range.
Shima has closed the distance and engaged Mountain in a clinch.
Mountain tries to circle away but Shima has him pinned against the cage. Shima displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mountain up against the cage. Shima lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mountain dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shima takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Shima lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mountain backwards. Mountain is looking to break free of the clinch but Shima has double underhooks. Mountain has had enough of the clinch but Shima keeps him there for the moment. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shima. Shima misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Shima lands a nice uppercut. Shima lands a hook that snaps the head of Mountain backwards.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shima working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Mountain throws a punch but it's blocked by Shima. Still in the clinch, Shima scores with a nice short uppercut. Shima controlling the action here for a moment.
Shima lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Shima lands with a light punch inside. Shima holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Mountain is trying to break the clinch but Shima is controlling him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mountain working hard to break the clinch. Shima manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shima moves into the clinch. Shima is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Shima's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Shima for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Mountain is trying to break the clinch but Shima has him pressed against the cage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Shima here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Shima keeps control of Mountain as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mountain blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Shima - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mountain. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shima creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mountain working aggressively here.

Mountain's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Shima has Mountain pressed against the cage, preventing Mountain from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Shima lands a right hand. Shima misses with the head strike.
Mountain stalling in the clinch but Shima improves position. Shima digs a right hand into Mountain's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mountain's gas tank. Shima tries to work over Mountain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Shima keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mountain's efforts to push away.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Shima throws a shot from downtown. Mountain moves away and avoids it. Shima throws a right and a left that both miss. Mountain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Shima on the wrong end of a nice jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shima tries to clinch up. Shima misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice side step and Mountain releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Mountain takes a swing at Shima's ribcage but misses.

and Mountain counters with a left to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuo Shima dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mountain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shima lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mountain circles away quickly and effectively. Shima backing away here, and Mountain unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shima throws a series of punches but Mountain avoids them all with ease. Mountain let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Shima throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tetsuo Shima is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tetsuo Shima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shima dips to his left and cracks Mountain with an uppercut!
And that's the end of the fight! Tetsuo Shima showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shima has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
