Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaio Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wonderlei Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily
and Santos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Kaio Santos has been cut.
Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Santos persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Silva on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Santos tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Santos tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva connects with a jab.
Silva stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaio Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Silva counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Santos. Santos gets slowly back to his feet.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.

Silva digs a good body shot into Santos's ribs.
Santos doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
Santos is rocked!
Santos moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva lands a jab.
Oh Santos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Santos falls backwards - clearly groggy! Silva dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wonderlei Silva!
Wonderlei Silva decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Kaio Santos spoke after the fight, saying 'i am blaming it on the matchmaking'.
