And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bosko Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes misses with a double jab
and Brown counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A good leg kick by Mendes.
Good exchange - Mendes coming out on top.
It looks like Bosko Brown has been cut.
Mendes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mendes looks for a takedown but Brown sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Mendes, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mendes throws out a powerful jab.

Brown is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Mendes lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mendes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mendes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brown.

Afonso Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mendes throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.
Brown appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Brown closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mendes steps in with a hook that catches Brown right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mendes follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Brown looks absolutely devastated.
