Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Reepo (ranked 163 p4p, 255 weight class) and Phil Sprintin (ranked 13 p4p, 23 weight class). Sprintin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Disturbed - Bad Man. Jay Reepo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phil Sprintin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay Reepo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Sprintin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Sprintin throws a shot from downtown. Reepo moves away and avoids it.
It looked like Reepo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Reepo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Reepo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Reepo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sprintin wants to control from the top but Reepo keeps moving.

Reepo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sprintin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sprintin works to advance to full mount. Reepo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Sprintin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sprintin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Reepo is trying desperately to improve position.
Reepo tries to lock up and control but Sprintin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reepo has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Sprintin biding his time, looking for the opening.

Sprintin is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Reepo knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Reepo for a finish.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Let's hope that Sprintin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Sprintin.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd cheers as Sprintin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reepo doesn't seem phased though.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Phil Sprintin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sprintin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Phil Sprintin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
