Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Louis (ranked 957 p4p, 2016 weight class) and Diablo Oliveira (ranked 124 p4p, 234 weight class). Diablo Oliveira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diablo Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira tries for a takedown but Louis circles away easily
and Louis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Louis jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Louis misses with a straight left.
We've been told by Louis's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Louis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oliveira sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oliveira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Oliveira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Oliveira jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Louis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Oliveira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
