This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 14 losses; Binsar Siregar! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 18 losses; Barkeep Quark! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Quark clinches up with Siregar and pushes him back against the cage. Quark tries for a takedown but Siregar manages to get underhooks.

Binsar Siregar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barkeep Quark.
Quark is trying to trip Siregar. He has hold of a leg but Siregar is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Quark persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Quark is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Siregar will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Siregar is trying to improve his position.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Quark controlling the positon. Quark's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Siregar tries to break free.
Quark controls the position. Quark is looking to control Siregar but Siregar is wriggling around and keeping busy. My spies in House Of Pain inform me that Quark has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Siregar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Siregar looking to sit in guard and control but Quark gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Siregar (2) vs (17) Quark
Siregar throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Quark escapes and throws Siregar's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Siregar (2) vs (20) Quark A lull in the action here as Quark stalls from top position. Siregar manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Quark uses his free foot to push down on Siregar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Siregar. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Siregar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Siregar manages to regain half guard. Good work. Quark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Siregar controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Quark passes into side control, despite Siregar's attempt to control the position.
