Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Einstein (ranked 23229 p4p, 25012 weight class) and Rick Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Albert Einstein has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Einstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Einstein counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rick Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Einstein cracks Gordon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gordon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Gordon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
