Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Einstein (ranked 23229 p4p, 25012 weight class) and Rick Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Albert Einstein has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Einstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Gordon! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Einstein counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rick Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Einstein cracks Gordon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gordon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Einstein looking to score a takedown here. Gordon is defending well but Einstein drives through and ends up in Gordon's guard.
Gordon has his foot on Einstein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Einstein works his way back into a safe position though.

Einstein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gordon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Einstein is looking to take a break and control but Gordon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gordon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Einstein wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gordon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gordon prevents Einstein from improving position. Gordon is trying to improve his position. Einstein has knee on belly and moves into mount. Einstein wants to control the pace but Gordon is squirming around nicely. Einstein controlling from mount.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Einstein lands a big elbow. Einstein sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gordon is trying desperately to improve position. Gordon regains half guard. Gordon trying to control from the bottom.
Gordon is pressing down on Einstein's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Einstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Einstein postures up and lands a big shot to Gordon's brow. Gordon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Einstein manages to get himself to full guard.

Gordon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Einstein manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gordon's best efforts.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Einstein slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gordon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Einstein escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gordon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Einstein looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gordon tries to free his leg and advance position but Einstein is retaining full guard. Einstein controls Gordon momentarily but Gordon frees himself. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Einstein dominated that round. That's time! Einstein's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gordon fails with the takedown. Gordon tries to clinch but Einstein moves out of range. Gordon tries to clinch up but Einstein circles away and keeps his distance.
Gordon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Einstein is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gordon can do to turn this around? Einstein is trying to keep Gordon in close.
Gordon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Einstein swivels though and keeps the full guard. Einstein looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gordon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Einstein keeping full guard, as Gordon tries to pass. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gordon preventing the sweep. Gordon wants to pass the guard but Einstein is keeping the position. Einstein keeping moving, preventing Gordon from controlling successfully.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Einstein fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gordon dives in and scores a takedown into Einstein's guard. Gordon won't allow Einstein to sweep him here. Einstein keeping full guard, as Gordon tries to pass. Gordon won't allow Einstein to sweep him here.
Einstein working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gordon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gordon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Einstein managing to control the position. Einstein trying to keep a closed guard but Gordon is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gordon passes Einstein's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Einstein tries to roll over but Gordon keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gordon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Einstein slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gordon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Einstein trying to control but Gordon postures up.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gordon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gordon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Einstein is concentrating on defense, preventing Gordon from advancing position. Gordon wants to free his trapped foot but Einstein is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gordon is trying to control. Einstein wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gordon is looking to pass Einstein's guard but actually Einstein recovers to full guard. Einstein keeping full guard, as Gordon tries to pass. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Gordon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Einstein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gordon's head. Albert Einstein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Einstein is keen to just control but Gordon is a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Einstein looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gordon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gordon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Gordon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Einstein manages to get himself to full guard.

Einstein wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Gordon really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Einstein. Gordon doesn't have the hooks in and Einstein manages to turn into his guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Gordon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Einstein manages to get himself to full guard.
Einstein is trying to control the position but Gordon postures up. Gordon trying to control but Einstein is working from the bottom. Einstein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gordon wants to pass the guard but Einstein is keeping the position. Einstein can't keep his opponent in guard - Gordon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gordon is keen to just control but Einstein is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rick Gordon. I think Gordon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
