Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thalys Soares (ranked 1660 p4p, 1950 weight class) and Tommy Riordon (ranked 209 p4p, 236 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thalys Soares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Riordon!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares jabs Riordon to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Riordon connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Riordon missing with a left hand there. Soares was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Riordon with a jab.
Riordon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Riordon lands with a nice combination. Soares backs away looking to recover.
Soares needs to keep his hands up - Riordon had a free shot at his head there.
Soares uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Riordon.
Soares tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riordon was well out of range. Poor timing from Soares.
Riordon doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Riordon looks to land a left hand but Soares moved out of range nicely.
Soares half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Riordon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Soares gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soares cracks Riordon with a right hand to the side of the head.
Riordon slips a jab from Soares.
Riordon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Soares moves out of range as Riordon strikes.
Riordon slips a straight right by Soares.
Riordon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Soares missing with a left hand there. Riordon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nice defenses there by Soares.
Riordon slips a jab from Soares.
Riordon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Riordon has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Soares misses with a looping left.
Riordon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Soares.
Soares fails with a takedown attempt.
Riordon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Soares.
Soares misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Riordon.
Soares moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Soares throws a jab when Riordon was well out of range.
Riordon throws a lazy right hand but Soares sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A left lands for Riordon.
Soares takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Soares misses with a hook. Riordon ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - Riordon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Riordon throws a jab when Soares was well out of range.
Soares moves out of range of the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Riordon defending well as Soares loads up on a big left hand.
Riordon connects with a jab.
Thalys Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riordon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Riordon tests Soares's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Soares is rocked!
Soares misses with a hook. Riordon ducked under it nicely.
Oh Soares is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riordon cracks Soares with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Soares throws an overhand right that lands on Riordon's shoulder, as Riordon tries to avoid the shot.
A slow jab from Riordon misses its intended target.
Soares seems to have got his legs back now.
Soares takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Soares fails to land the takedown.
Riordon closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Soares! Riordon dives in looking to finish! Soares is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Riordon!
In defeat, Thalys Soares stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'LL BE BACK.'.
