Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaques Vallee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 51 - 99 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiang closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kiang slips a jab and a cross from Vallee.
Kiang counters with a body kick.
Vallee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kiang counters with a shoot takedown. Vallee fights it but they end up in guard.
Vallee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Vallee is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vallee decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vallee pushes Kiang up against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Vallee scores with a nice short uppercut.
Vallee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vallee moves into the clinch.
Vallee scores with a hook to the body.
Vallee lands with a short shot to the head.
Vallee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kiang drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kiang is rocked!
Jaques Vallee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vallee circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Kiang tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Vallee wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jaques Vallee!
