Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopper stuffs the takedown.
Hardy shoots in for a double leg but Hopper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hardy throws a shot from downtown. Hopper moves away and avoids it.
Hardy misses with a takedown
and Hopper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Will Hopper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Hardy.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown but Hopper shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Oliver Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopper lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hardy lands a body shot.
A left lands for Hardy.

Hopper moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hopper as he avoids it easily.

Hopper throws Hardy to one side and escapes!
We've been told by Hopper's head coaches at Guerrilla Fight Club 🇺🇸 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Hardy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hardy misses with a hook.
Hopper waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hardy.
Hardy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hopper moves away.
Hardy shoots for a double leg takedown but Hopper sprawls well. He's pushed Hardy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hopper throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hardy shoots in but Hopper avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hardy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hopper cracks Hardy with an open hand slap.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown but Hopper shows good takedown defense.
Hardy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hardy slips under a jab.
Good leg kick by Hopper.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hardy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hopper as he jumps to the side.
Hopper dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hopper scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hardy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hopper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hardy somewhat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hopper. Hardy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hardy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hopper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Will Hopper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hardy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hopper is fending him off so far but Hardy persists. Nope, Hopper circles away and we're back to standing.
Hopper misses with a lunging right hand
and Hardy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hopper won't be happy with that.
Hardy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hardy is looking to take a break and control but Hopper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hopper is pushing Hardy's head away, looking to escape. Hardy manages to hold on to the position though.
Hardy misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Hopper wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Hardy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hopper has escaped the position, nice work there.
The strikes coming from Hardy are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hardy has hold of Hopper's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hopper tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hardy cranks the arm and Hopper screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hopper, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Oliver Hardy!

A less than humble Oliver Hardy misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
