Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liam Bishop (ranked 4047 p4p, 4012 weight class) and Kaede Kitano (ranked 311 p4p, 313 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Liam Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaede Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Kitano clinches with his opponent.
Kitano is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kitano letting Bishop take a breather here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitano is pushing Bishop up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Bishop has Kitano pushed against the ropes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kitano is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Bishop is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Kaede Kitano dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bishop wants to clinch.
Kitano tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitano keeps the fight on the outside.
Kitano tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Bishop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kitano keeps the fight on the outside.
Kitano tries to counter with a clinch but Bishop shakes him off and moves away.
Kitano tries to clinch but Bishop is having none of it.

Bishop gets tackled into the ropes by Kitano. Kitano maintains the clinch.
Kitano slows down the pace here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kitano - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kaede Kitano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Kitano moves in looking to clinch but Bishop pushes him off.

Kitano tries to counter by closing the distance.

Liam Bishop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kitano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bishop, pushing him back against the ropes.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kaede Kitano.

Bishop takes the fight into the clinch.
Bishop is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kitano is keeping busy.

Kaede Kitano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kitano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
