Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 1153 p4p, 950 weight class) and Jesus Christ (ranked 143 p4p, 123 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, King Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesus Christ! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Christ. Christ darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Christ scores with a nice right hand.
Kong misses with a combination
and Christ counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Christ throws a combination that misses and Christ takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Christ lands a body shot.
We've been told by Kong's head coaches at SYDNEY ELITE GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kong went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jesus Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christ throws a lazy right hand but Kong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kong on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Christ. Christ obviously looking to wear him down.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kong throws a chopping leg kick but Christ manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Christ.
Christ rushes Kong and presses him up against the cage. A short uppercut from Christ. Christ working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Christ gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Christ throws an elbow that misses.

Christ lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kong backwards. Christ lands a hook to the side of the head. Christ lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kong backwards. Kong takes a knee to the side of the body. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kong. Christ is stalling here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Christ misses with a left hand and Kong counters with a stiff right hand. Kong scores with a sloppy right hand. Christ should have avoided that one.
Oooooh!!! Christ has knocked Kong down with a huge combo! Christ steps away and waves a wobbly Kong back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Kong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

 Christ is rocked!
 It looks like Jesus Christ has been cut. Christ moves in looking to clinch but Kong pushes him off. Kong throws a big shot that misses. Kong looks to throw the jab but Christ is out of range. Christ ducks under a wild hook from Kong. Christ tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kong was well out of range. Poor timing from Christ.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong slips a straight right by Christ. Kong throws a big shot that misses. Christ ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Christ works Kong's body with a nice hook. Jab, jab by Kong - just one landing.
Christ has Kong up against the cage in a clinch.
Kong tries to break free but Christ pushes him back against the cage. Christ throws a head punch that misses. Kong wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Christ throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kong blocks it with crossed arms. Kong tries to break free but Christ pushes him back against the cage. Kong blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Christ is pushing Kong up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. The referee is keeping an eye on Christ - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Christ continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Kong is trying to break the clinch but Christ has him pressed against the cage. Christ lands with a right to the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Christ. The referee calls for Christ to work.
Kong is looking to break free of the clinch but Christ has double underhooks. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A frustrated look appears on Kong's face as he tries to break the clinch. Christ lands an elbow that stopped Kong in his tracks for a moment.
 It looks like King Kong has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A bit of stalling here from Christ.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Christ dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!

Kong tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Christ avoids it. The referee calls for Christ to work.

Kong has had enough of the clinch but Christ keeps him there for the moment.
Kong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Christ in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christ throws a right hand that misses
and Kong counters with a three punch combo that has Christ backing up. Christ nods at Kong to acknowledge the strikes. Christ throws a low kick, looking for Kong's leg but Kong calmly moves out of range. Christ connects with a body shot that sends Kong's belly button to the back. Kong connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Christ scores with a sloppy right hand. Kong should have avoided that one.

Christ catches Kong with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Christ lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Christ controlling the action here for a moment.

Christ will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kong up against the cage. Christ has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kong seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Christ can turn it around.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Christ. Christ using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kong has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kong is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Christ throws a punch but it's blocked by Kong. It looked like Kong was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Christ is looking to clinch but Kong is avoiding it.

Christ gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A short right hand to the side of the head by Christ. Kong wants to get back to striking at distance but Christ won't allow it.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Christ ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Christ tries to clinch up. Christ takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Christ jabs Kong right on the nose. Kong blinks but takes it well. Kong dodges the punch combination from Christ.
Kong appears to be looking for a big counter. Christ pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kong is out of range and Christ settles back down. Kong is looking to counter punch.

and Christ counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Kong! He's just covering up as Christ starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
