Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Topf Deckel (ranked 2809 p4p, 2889 weight class) and Darren Tolbert (ranked 284 p4p, 296 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Topf Deckel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Tolbert!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deckel misses with a takedown
and Tolbert counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Topf Deckel has been cut.
Deckel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tolbert sprawls well initially but Deckel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tolbert is looking for a sweep. Deckel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tolbert wants to control but Deckel is keeping busy.
Tolbert tries to roll over but Deckel keeps him under control.
Deckel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tolbert keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deckel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Deckel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tolbert is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Deckel is working for a kimura but Tolbert is defending it quite comfortably.
Deckel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Deckel is looking for a kimura but Tolbert is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Deckel to get the leverage.

Tolbert is controlling Deckel's trapped leg to prevent Deckel from advancing to side control.
Tolbert is defending against the submission attempts here by Deckel.

Deckel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Deckel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tolbert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Deckel avoids the body shot from Tolbert.
Deckel throws a big counter combination but Tolbert scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Deckel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tolbert sprawls well. Tolbert wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deckel gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tolbert slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A big left from Tolbert misses.
Tolbert ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Deckel takes one to the side of the head.
Nice sprawl there from Tolbert as Deckel shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Topf Deckel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tolbert drops Deckel with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Deckel looks back up at him and smiles so Tolbert waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Deckel is rocked!
Tolbert cracks Deckel with a left hook right on the temple and Deckel goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Tolbert lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Deckel is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darren Tolbert!
Our winner, Darren Tolbert, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
