Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hernando Villalobos (ranked 1340 p4p, 1669 weight class) and Brandon Byrum (ranked 154 p4p, 183 weight class). Villalobos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, El Sonidito. Brandon Byrum has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Byrum!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villalobos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Villalobos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Byrum takes one on the button.
Villalobos throws a right and a left that Byrum avoids nicely.

Villalobos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Byrum napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Byrum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Villalobos's head.

Villalobos moves out of range as Byrum strikes.
Villalobos gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Villalobos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Villalobos throwing a counter right hand but Byrum manages to avoid it.
A big left from Byrum misses.
Villalobos lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Byrum avoids the head kick by Villalobos.
Villalobos throws a looping overhand right but Byrum ducks down to avoid it.
Villalobos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Byrum throws a right and a left that Villalobos avoids nicely.
Byrum loads up on a big right hand but Villalobos slips the punch.
Villalobos bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Byrum's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Villalobos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Byrum scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Byrum dives in for a single leg takedown but Villalobos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Villalobos shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Byrum eats them both and turns towards Villalobos to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Byrum throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Villalobos on the side of the head.
Villalobos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Villalobos fails with a takedown attempt.
Villalobos shoots for a double leg takedown but Byrum sprawls well. He's pushed Villalobos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Byrum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Villalobos defends well and Byrum ends up having to push Villalobos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Villalobos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Byrum lands a glancing blow to the side of Villalobos's head.
Villalobos is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Villalobos tries to move into range but Byrum moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Villalobos loads up on a big right hand but Byrum slips the punch.
Oh Villalobos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Byrum cracks Villalobos with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Villalobos tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Byrum pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Villalobos is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Byrum!
