Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Kemper (ranked 1569 p4p, 1221 weight class) and Alexander Njord (ranked 187 p4p, 155 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ed Kemper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Njord!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemper waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Njord.
Kemper thows a left - swing and a miss!
Njord fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kemper looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kemper throws a right hand that misses
and Njord counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Ed Kemper has been cut.
Njord throws a body punch but Kemper moves out of range.
Kemper lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Alexander Njord has been cut.
Kemper misses with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kemper misses with an uppercut. Njord saw that one coming.
Njord throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kemper sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Njord ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Njord looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Njord swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kemper counters with a straight right hand.
Kemper lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Njord lands a slapping body shot.
Nice defenses there by Kemper.
Njord lunges at Kemper with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kemper's hand.
Kemper takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Njord misses with a body punch
and Kemper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Njord dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kemper definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kemper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Njord throws out the jab.
It looked like Kemper was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Njord.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Njord rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Kemper to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kemper misses with a hook. Njord ducked under it nicely.
Njord now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Njord fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kemper manages to avoid it.
Njord lands a nice looking body shot.
Njord fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Njord takes a swing at Kemper's ribcage but misses.
Njord misses with a body shot.
Njord swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Njord lands a jab to Kemper's midsection.
Njord connects with a body shot.
Kemper is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Njord.
Kemper misses with a body shot.
Njord lands with an uppercut that bounces Kemper off the ropes and back into range.
Kemper walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ed Kemper's cut is getting worse.
Njord lands a lovely overhand right.
Ed Kemper's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Njord cracks Kemper with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Njord has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kemper to stand back up!
Kemper is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Njord lands a nice hook to Kemper's body. Kemper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kemper blocks a jab.
Njord cracks Kemper with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Njord has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kemper to stand back up!
Oh Kemper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, Ed Kemper's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ed Kemper's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alexander Njord!
