Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frenkie Chen (ranked 499 p4p, 1357 weight class) and Indio Perera (ranked 59 p4p, 170 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frenkie Chen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Indio Perera!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perera sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chen scores with a shot to the body.
Chen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Chen cracks Perera with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Chen lands with a shot to the body.
Perera throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perera jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chen lands with an uppercut that bounces Perera off the cage and back into range.
Chen throws an overhand right that lands on Perera's shoulder, as Perera tries to avoid the shot.
Jab by Chen.
A telegraphed right hand from Perera misses the target.
Chen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big right from Chen misses.
Perera looks to land a left hand but Chen moved out of range nicely.
Perera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Perera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chen scores with a shot to the body.
Chen misses with a hook
and Perera counters with a straight right hand.
Chen scores with a punch to the head.
Chen misses with a lunging right hand

and Perera counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Chen blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chen working aggressively here.
A shot in the inside from Perera.
Perera works on Chen's body with a couple of short punches.
Chen throws a head punch that misses.

Perera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chen walks into a straight right hand from Perera.
Chen misses with a body shot
and Perera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perera uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chen.
Chen walks into a stiff left hand from Perera.
Chen lands a head shot.
Chen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Perera.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chen connects with a jab.

Perera is rocked!
Perera walks straight into a right hand from Chen - that's dropped him! Chen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Perera from any more punishment! Perera complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Frenkie Chen!
