Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, En Route!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Huena Ajuricaba!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Route rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ajuricaba moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ajuricaba swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Route was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ajuricaba throws a right hand that Route ducks under and follows up with a left that Route also avoids with ease.
Route ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ajuricaba moves away.
Ajuricaba walks into a straight right hand from Route.
Ajuricaba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ajuricaba is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Route had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A nice side step and Ajuricaba releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Ajuricaba walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
