Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Mendes (ranked 964 p4p, 416 weight class) and Vlad Tepes lV (ranked 123 p4p, 60 weight class). Mendes comes to the cage accompanied by Future - Last Breath. Paulo Mendes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Tepes lV!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tepes lV as he avoids it easily.
Mendes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tepes lV.
Tepes lV swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tepes lV scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Paulo Mendes has been cut.
Mendes shoots in but no luck this time.
Mendes wants to clinch
and Tepes lV counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mendes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tepes lV is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mendes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Mendes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tepes lV pinned against the cage. Tepes lV gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And Tepes lV responds with a good body kick, but Mendes manages to step out the way in time.

A little jabbing left from Tepes lV on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paulo Mendes will probably get the nod.

Tepes lV manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mendes manages to get himself to full guard.
