The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Okonkwo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivero.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivero dodges the punch combination from Okonkwo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Okonkwo. Those never looked like landing.
Okonkwo throws a right hand that Rivero ducks under and follows up with a left that Rivero also avoids with ease.
Rivero is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Okonkwo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Okonkwo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looked like Okonkwo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
