Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson McKenzie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoine Winters! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters lands with a hook. McKenzie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. McKenzie seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Winters misses with a looping left. Winters throws an off balance right hand
and McKenzie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A short body shot lands from Winters as the two fighters clinch.
McKenzie tries to work over Winters's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A nice left hand lands by McKenzie.
McKenzie lands with a short punch from the clinch.
McKenzie swings wildly with an uppercut but Winters uses good head movement to avoid it. McKenzie swings wildly with an uppercut but Winters uses good head movement to avoid it. Winters lands with a short head shot on the inside. McKenzie fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Winters misses with a hook to the ribs.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Winters.
McKenzie gets control of Winters's arms and successfully pulls guard. McKenzie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Winters must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Winters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McKenzie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McKenzie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Winters defends well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Winters is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but McKenzie has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Winters is looking to defend but McKenzie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Winters! McKenzie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Winters taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Anderson McKenzie! Antoine Winters spoke after the fight, saying 'I had COVID'.
