Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Devon Mata!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mata scores with a leg kick.
Mata instigates a clinch.
Mata breaks from the clinch.
Kidd shoots and misses
and Mata counters with a nice body shot.
Mata connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kidd momentarily.
Kidd with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Mata to counter with a crisp jab.
Kidd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mata but Mata pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kidd tries to keep at a distance but Mata has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mata gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kidd regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mata decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Oooooh!!! Mata has knocked Kidd down with a huge combo! Mata steps away and waves a wobbly Kidd back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Kidd is rocked!

Mata is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Kidd is in big trouble! Mata is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Kidd. Poor guy.
