This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 22 losses; Klaas Jan Tijhoff! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 28 losses; Mean Gean!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Tijhoff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gean quickly recovers to half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Tijhoff (2) vs (0) Gean
Tijhoff definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tijhoff looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
