Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain lands a nice hook to Vieira's body. Vieira takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vieira avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Mountain misses the target.
Vieira let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Mountain misses with a shot to the body
and Vieira counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vieira.
Mountain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vieira avoids the head kick by Mountain.
Mountain sets himself, and Vieira steps forward looking for the clinch! Mountain avoids it this time.
Some bone on bone action there as Vieira checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A little jabbing left from Vieira on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mountain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mountain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vieira let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Vieira checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Mountain scores with the left hand. Vieira knows he should have avoided that one.
Kari Mountain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mountain throws a hook but Vieira blocks it.
Mountain misses with a kick to the body
and Vieira connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Kari Mountain has been cut.
Mountain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mountain takes a swing at Vieira's ribcage but misses.
Vieira now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mountain falls off balance throwing a combination
and Vieira counters with a right hand that sends Mountain tumbling to the canvas! Can Vieira finish him? He dives into Mountain's guard looking to do just that!
Mountain is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vieira is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Mountain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mountain tries to get out of the position.
Mountain wants to stand up but Vieira is controlling him.
Vieira forces his way into half guard.

Mountain tries to roll over but Vieira keeps him under control.
Vieira in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mountain tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vieira!

A determined Eli Vieira didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
