Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Mendes (ranked 2301 p4p, 3524 weight class) and Chandler Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thiago Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chandler Walker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mendes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walker won't be happy with that.
Walker looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mendes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Walker, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mendes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mendes in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Mendes is working to tighten his grip on Walker's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Walker has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mendes is really squeezing tight and eventually Walker passes out! Mendes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
