Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brandt (ranked 25466 p4p, 4103 weight class) and Otto Dikenstein Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandt comes to the cage accompanied by Broken Out In Love by Mark Crozer. Michael Brandt looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Brandt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto Dikenstein Jr! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dikenstein Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brandt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dikenstein Jr just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dikenstein Jr is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Brandt can't fight it off and eventually Dikenstein Jr manages to take the fight to the floor. Brandt looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dikenstein Jr controlling from the top position. Dikenstein Jr is looking to stand up but Brandt won't let him. Dikenstein Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brandt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Brandt is looking to stand up but Dikenstein Jr isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brandt is controlling Dikenstein Jr's posture. Brandt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dikenstein Jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Brandt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brandt trying to control the position from guard on top but Dikenstein Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dikenstein Jr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brandt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Dikenstein Jr wants to sweep here but Brandt controlling him for the moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Brandt wants to stand but Dikenstein Jr is controlling his posture from full guard.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dikenstein Jr moves into range and clinches up with Brandt. Dikenstein Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brandt to keep the fight standing. Brandt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Dikenstein Jr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Brandt regains guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Brandt is trying to control the position but Dikenstein Jr postures up. Dikenstein Jr controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brandt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Brandt is breathing heavily.

Dikenstein Jr looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dikenstein Jr's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Otto Dikenstein Jr dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dikenstein Jr jumps guard but Brandt stands there with Dikenstein Jr around his waist. Dikenstein Jr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dikenstein Jr has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brandt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Both fighters working to control the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dikenstein Jr stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Dikenstein Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dikenstein Jr is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dikenstein Jr keeping moving, preventing Brandt from controlling successfully. Dikenstein Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brandt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dikenstein Jr is proving hard to escape from. Dikenstein Jr keeping moving, preventing Brandt from controlling successfully. Brandt wants to pass the guard but Dikenstein Jr is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dikenstein Jr pulls Brandt in close to prevent any damage.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Brandt avoids the head kick by Dikenstein Jr.
Brandt fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Dikenstein Jr as Brandt shoots in. Dikenstein Jr misses with a body shot
and Brandt counters with a good, hard body kick but Dikenstein Jr shrugs it off. Dikenstein Jr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Brandt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dikenstein Jr lands a few punches from side control. Dikenstein Jr controls the position. Dikenstein Jr is continuing to stall. Brandt tries to improve position but can't. Brandt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dikenstein Jr's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Dikenstein Jr is taking a breather. Brandt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Brandt is trying to stand.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brandt taking some punishment here, with Dikenstein Jr in his half guard. Dikenstein Jr working over Brandt with some ground and pound. Brandt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dikenstein Jr has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by Dikenstein Jr. Brandt is bucking up trying to escape but Dikenstein Jr cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brandt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Otto Dikenstein Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dikenstein Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brandt to the mat! Brandt manages to get full guard. Dikenstein Jr content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Dikenstein Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dikenstein Jr content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dikenstein Jr stays in close to Brandt's body and controls the position. Dikenstein Jr won't allow Brandt to get back to his feet. Dikenstein Jr is pushing down on Brandt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brandt is fighting to maintain full guard but Dikenstein Jr has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dikenstein Jr seems to be looking for submissions.
Dikenstein Jr is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brandt sees it coming and defends easily. Otto Dikenstein Jr has got the better of the ground game so far. Dikenstein Jr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dikenstein Jr is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Brandt is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
