The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender doesn't manage to clinch there - Dempsey circles away.
Bender closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dempsey circles away.

Dempsey scores with a hook.
It looks like Lennon Bender has been cut.
Bender ducks under a wild hook from Dempsey.
Bender throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dempsey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bender stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dempsey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dempsey lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bender tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dempsey defends well and Bender ends up having to push Dempsey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dempsey lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Dempsey lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bender backwards.
Dempsey manages to break the clinch.
Dempsey misses with a looping left.
Bender shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dempsey but Dempsey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dempsey let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lennon Bender. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dempsey throws a body punch but Bender moves out of range.
Dempsey lands a slapping body shot.
Dempsey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bender.
Bender uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dempsey.

Bender tries to close the distance and clinch but Dempsey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bender displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dempsey throws out the jab.
Bender wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Bender tries a head kick but it misses.
Dempsey avoids the head kick by Bender.
Dempsey smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bender misses with a takedown
and Dempsey counters with a crisp right that sends Bender to the canvas! Dempsey follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
