Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Maron (ranked 1240 p4p, 2075 weight class) and Elinho Mineiro (ranked 156 p4p, 236 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Maron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elinho Mineiro! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maron throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Maron takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
 It looks like Elinho Mineiro has been cut. Maron has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom\'s Gym in the buildup to the fight. Maron wants to slow Mineiro down by chopping away at his legs. Maron throws a right hand that misses
and Maron takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 It looks like Mike Maron has been cut. Maron swings widly with a right hand
and Mineiro counters with a lovely shot to the body. Maron swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mineiro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mineiro takes one to the chin there. Maron swings and misses with a shot to the body and Mineiro counters with a straight right hand. Maron throws the left hand but Mineiro avoids the punch easily. Maron misses with a leg kick and Mineiro counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maron misses with a looping right. Maron misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mineiro.
Maron takes a swing at Mineiro's ribcage but misses. Maron throws a sloppy head kick and Mineiro moves out of range easily. Mineiro drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Maron defends it well. Maron throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mineiro looks like he wants to counter punch here. A decent looking cross lands there for Maron.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Maron misses with a body punch
and Mineiro counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mineiro wants to clinch up but Maron keeps it at a distance. Mineiro bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Maron's head. Maron looks to throw the jab but Mineiro is out of range. Maron throws a solid leg kick but Mineiro takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Maron. A nice leg kick lands there from Maron. Mineiro throws a shot from downtown. Maron moves away and avoids it. Maron scores with a jab to the body. Mineiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maron swats him away and circles back towards the center. Maron misses with a wild body shot. Mineiro has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Mineiro throws a body punch but Maron moves out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mineiro enables Maron to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mineiro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Maron is looking to stand up but Mineiro won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maron decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maron throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mineiro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mike Maron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mineiro checks a low kick from Maron. Mineiro swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Maron misses with a body shot.
Maron throws a body shot but no joy.
Maron looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mineiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Maron looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Maron seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maron is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Maron tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mineiro.
Mineiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Maron trying to control from half guard but Mineiro is working away.
Maron is trying to work for a kimura but Mineiro is defending well.
 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Maron stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mineiro to get to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mineiro is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Maron. Maron looks to land a combination but Mineiro avoids it well. Mineiro tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Maron keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mineiro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mineiro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Maron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Maron bucks up and tries to throw Mineiro off but instead Mineiro has got his back!
Maron defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Maron dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Maron uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mineiro has time to react. Maron throws a series of punches but Mineiro avoids them all with ease. An inside leg kick from Maron misses. Maron tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mineiro is able to avoid easily. Mineiro tries to counter with a clinch but Maron shakes him off and moves away. Mineiro lands a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Maron misses the target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mineiro! But no joy.
Mineiro gets caught flat footed, as Maron shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Maron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mineiro works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mineiro is looking for a triangle but Maron pushes his legs off easily.
Maron wants to get up but he can't break Mineiro's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mineiro is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Mike Maron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Mineiro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maron drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mineiro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mineiro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mineiro!
Mineiro wants to take a breather but Maron manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Mineiro. Maron is wriggling around but Mineiro manages to pass to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.

Maron manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mineiro keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Mineiro pulls guard.
Mineiro is working an open guard so Maron takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mineiro closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mineiro moves into the clinch successfully.
Mineiro jumps guard but Maron turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Maron gets control of Mineiro's arms and successfully pulls guard. Maron will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mineiro won't allow Maron to get back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mineiro looking to pass the guard. Maron pulls Mineiro in to control the position. Maron is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mineiro is controlling him. Mineiro trying to control but Maron is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mineiro looking to sit in guard and control but Maron gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
 And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Maron dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Mineiro slips under a jab from Maron. Maron lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nice cross by Mineiro. The fighters circling - Maron throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Maron swings for the body but Mineiro moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mineiro! But no joy. Maron misses with a low kick.
Maron just misses with a punch to the body.
Mineiro doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Maron throws a lazy uppercut
and Mineiro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Maron swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Mineiro counter with a right hand. Maron lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Mineiro avoids the body shot from Maron.
Mineiro is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A jab from Maron misses. Mineiro fails in his attempt to clinch. Maron pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mineiro is out of range and Maron settles back down. Mineiro lands with a nice body punch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Maron throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Maron swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maron's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mineiro under the eye.
Maron shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mineiro's guard. Maron trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mineiro's guard. Mineiro trying to keep a closed guard but Maron is proving a slippery customer.
Mineiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maron defends well.

Elinho Mineiro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mineiro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maron gets to his feet - Mineiro follows without any prompting. Mineiro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maron. Mineiro looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Maron throws a right and a left that both miss. It seemed like Mineiro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mike Maron is winning the standup battle so far. Mineiro defending well as Maron loads up on a big left hand. Mineiro looks like he wants to counter punch here. A jab from Maron finds it's way through Mineiro's defenses. Mineiro lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maron at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maron falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mineiro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mineiro has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Maron attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Maron throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Maron dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Maron loads up on a big right hand but Mineiro slips the punch. Maron thows a left - swing and a miss! Maron throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mineiro counters with a lovely straight right hand! Danga de danga de dang - Maron scores with a four punch combination! Maron dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mineiro. That did some damage! Mineiro chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maron can pounce on him.
Maron clobbers Mineiro with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Maron closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mineiro to the mat! Mineiro manages to get full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maron wants to stand and escape but instead Mineiro has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mineiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Maron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mike Maron is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Maron wants to sweep but no luck. Maron working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mineiro.
Mineiro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maron manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mineiro has Maron in his guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Maron showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mike Maron! Mike Maron decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
