Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirilg Eskander (ranked 3019 p4p, 4928 weight class) and Jakobe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dirilg Eskander has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dirilg Eskander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakobe Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Johnson blocks the leg kick.
Eskander bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Eskander throws a nice outside leg kick.
Eskander stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson leaves Eskander with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Eskander tries to get back to half guard but can't.

A quick step to the side and Eskander tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Eskander tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johnson is in Eskander's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Eskander manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Eskander in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Eskander shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Eskander keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Eskander sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Eskander tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Eskander ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johnson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Eskander up against the cage.
