Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Cooker (ranked 3737 p4p, 2557 weight class) and Mpho Strydom (ranked 347 p4p, 257 weight class). Dan Cooker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Cooker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mpho Strydom!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strydom closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cooker did well to prevent Strydom getting side control.

Cooker throws a series of punches but Strydom avoids them all with ease.

Strydom shoots for a double leg takedown but Cooker sprawls well. He's pushed Strydom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dan Cooker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mpho Strydom.
