Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dirilg Eskander!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eskander scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Moon manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Eskander drives through and clinches with Moon against the cage.
Moon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Eskander breaks the clinch.
Dirilg Eskander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eskander keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Moon loads up on a big right hand but Eskander slips the punch.
Eskander misses with a double jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eskander scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Moon shoots for a takedown but Eskander saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Eskander throws a series of punches but Moon moves out of range.
Moon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eskander defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Moon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moon dodges the punch combination from Eskander.

Eskander swats away the attempt to clinch by Moon.

Eskander closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moon did well to prevent Eskander getting side control.

Eskander decides to stand and escape the position.

Eskander closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Moon to the mat! Moon manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moon is working an open guard so Eskander takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Moon.

Eskander gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A lull in the action here as Eskander stalls from top position.
Moon tries to bench press Eskander off him but Eskander keeps the position.

Eskander is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Moon has escaped the position, nice work there.
Moon is trying to improve his position.
Moon looking for a sweep but Eskander has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Eskander's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Eskander avoids the attempt from Moon to control.
Eskander postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moon looks a forlorn figure.

Eskander breaks from Moon's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Eskander takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Moon is rocked!

Eskander working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Moon turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Eskander off and cradles Moon's limp body as Eskander celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Dirilg Eskander!
