This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Diego Rojas! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Daniel Bernardino! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bernardino will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bernardino shoots in but no luck this time. Rojas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bernardino swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rojas fails with an attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bernardino is defended easily by Rojas. Rojas tries to counter with a takedown but Bernardino is quick to defend against it. Diego Rojas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Bernardino. Bernardino fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rojas appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Bernardino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rojas tries to avoid it but Bernardino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rojas to the ground. Rojas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bernardino shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rojas sprawls well. Rojas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bernardino gets slowly back to his feet. Rojas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rojas is looking to clinch. Rojas is looking to clinch but Bernardino is avoiding it.
And Bernardino tries to counter it with a takedown but Rojas pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rojas tries to clinch but Bernardino is having none of it. Bernardino is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bernardino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bernardino swats away the attempt to clinch by Rojas. Bernardino tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rojas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bernardino somewhat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Bernardino with that takedown attempt. Bernardino shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rojas tries to close the distance and clinch but Bernardino swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bernardino closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rojas circles away. Rojas is looking to clinch but Bernardino is avoiding it.

Bernardino has his foot on Rojas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rojas works his way back into a safe position though. Bernardino looks winded! Bernardino being controlled here, momentarily. Bernardino wants to sweep but no luck.

Rojas drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rojas seems to have locked his on tight now - Bernardino screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rojas, as he picks up the win!
