Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance Fow (ranked 2891 p4p, 5248 weight class) and Ash Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ash Stevenson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Fow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ash Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson sizes up Fow with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fow gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Fow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Stevenson is looking to control Fow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stevenson avoid being mounted?
Stevenson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fow is nestled in close to Stevenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fow not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Stevenson tries to get to full guard but Fow has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Fow seems content to control.
Stevenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fow seems to be looking for submissions.

Fow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Stevenson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stevenson wants it to stay on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Stevenson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fow doesn't seem phased though.
Fow throws a head kick that misses.
Stevenson misses with a body shot.
Stevenson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Fow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fow controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stevenson lands a jab to the head.

Stevenson gets caught flat footed, as Fow shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Stevenson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Stevenson looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stevenson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Stevenson works Fow's body with a nice hook.
Stevenson digs a good body shot into Fow's ribs.
Fow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ash Stevenson dominated that round.
That's time! Fow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lance Fow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stevenson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fow is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stevenson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Stevenson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Stevenson gets caught napping as Fow dives in and scores a takedown. Stevenson manages to retain guard.
Fow showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Fow stands up over Stevenson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Fow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stevenson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Stevenson is working an open guard so Fow takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Ash Stevenson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stevenson lands with a cross.
Stevenson lands a glancing blow to the side of Fow's head.
Ash Stevenson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stevenson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Stevenson is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fow.
Stevenson scores with a jab.

Fow is rocked!
Stevenson finds Fow's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fow flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Stevenson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fow will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ash Stevenson!
