Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Blessed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshihiro Takayama!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blessed misses the body punch
and Takayama counters with a stiff right hand.
Takayama throws a lazy right hand but Blessed sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blessed seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Takayama defending well as Blessed loads up on a big left hand.
Takayama is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blessed.
Blessed tries to clinch up
and Takayama counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Brian Blessed has been cut.
Yoshihiro Takayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blessed uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Takayama has time to react.

Blessed moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blessed lands a damaging elbow.
Takayama lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Takayama tries a body shot but Blessed blocks it.

Blessed misses with a short punch on the inside.
Blessed lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Takayama or not.
Takayama blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Takayama is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Blessed.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Blessed trying to stall but Takayama improves his position.
Takayama wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blessed has him pressed against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Blessed.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Blessed.
The cut above Yoshihiro Takayama's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blessed takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Blessed comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Yoshihiro Takayama's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yoshihiro Takayama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
