Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Vargas (ranked 2845 p4p, 4146 weight class) and Nick Gurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Gurt!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurt closes the distance and clinches.
Vargas trying to stall but Gurt improves his position.
Gurt breaks from the clinch.
Gurt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vargas's waist but Vargas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gurt off to one side.

Vargas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gurt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vargas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gurt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gurt rushes Vargas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sloppy strikes from Vargas. Those never looked like landing.
Gurt tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vargas defends well and Gurt ends up having to push Vargas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Vargas lands a high kick!

Gurt is still on wobbly legs! Can Vargas finish him?
Gurt drops his hands momentarily and Vargas needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Gurt just on the top of the head. Gurt drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Gurt - he's done!
