Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Farva (ranked 5139 p4p, 25728 weight class) and Agildo Belluci (ranked 436 p4p, 469 weight class). Belluci is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: BRAZIL. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodney Farva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Agildo Belluci! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Farva. Belluci throws a sloppy head kick and Farva moves out of range easily.
Farva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Belluci tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Farva is in Belluci's guard. Farva throwing strikes from guard but Belluci blocks nicely. Belluci wants to stand but Farva is controlling the position. Belluci has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gold Samurai's Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Farva postures up and lands a big shot to Belluci's brow. Farva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belluci has momentary wrist control but Farva slips an elbow through the middle. Farva throwing strikes but missing.  That's one minute gone in the round. Farva is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Farva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Belluci wants to stand up but Farva is controlling him. Farva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Belluci is looking to stand back up but Farva counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Belluci. Farva slips a nice elbow through Belluci's hands, connecting with Belluci's forehead. Farva working Belluci over with strikes. Nice strikes from Farva there. Farva drops an elbow to the side of Belluci's head. Belluci has hold of Farva's hands but Farva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Belluci is trying to stand up here but Farva is controlling him well. Belluci pushes Farva off but Farva dives into side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Belluci pushes Farva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Farva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Belluci is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Belluci really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Farva fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Farva cracks Belluci with a big right hand but Belluci just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Belluci is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Farva asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belluci tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Farva working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Farva scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Belluci?
 It looks like Agildo Belluci has been cut.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Farva lands with some strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Belluci can do anything to dispel that myth. Belluci wants to get back to his feet.
Farva with shots to the head and body - Belluci looks very uncomfortable down there. Farva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

 Belluci is rocked! Farva postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Belluci out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Farva goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rodney Farva! After winning the bout, Rodney Farva thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
