The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Blake tries to strike but it doesn't land.
You can see the frustration on Blake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Blake is looking to work his way out of this bad position but John is controlling him well.
Blake manages to work his way to half guard, despite John's best efforts.

Blake is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blake wants to control but John is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blake's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Blake is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! John has his hands clasped together but Blake extends and breaks John's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Blake.
