Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bai Li (ranked 2555 p4p, 3519 weight class) and Renaldo Chang (ranked 277 p4p, 0 weight class). Renaldo Chang has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bai Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Renaldo Chang!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang shoots in for a takedown but Li shows good takedown defense.
Li avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Li appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Chang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Li counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Chang is looking for a sweep.
Li is staying tight to Chang's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Li cracks Chang with a big right hand but Chang just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Li has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
