Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donald Sloan (ranked 2309 p4p, 3750 weight class) and Archie Evans (ranked 189 p4p, 286 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Sloan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Archie Evans! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Evans. Evans avoids the body shot from Sloan.
Sloan throws a leg kick but Evans sees it coming and moves out of range. Evans checks a leg kick. A nice side step and Evans releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Evans looks to score with a jab to the body but Sloan is just out of range. Some bone on bone action there as Evans checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Evans! But no joy. An inside leg kick from Sloan misses. Sloan throws a front kick aimed at Evans's knee but Evans avoids it well. Sloan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A head kick misses from Sloan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloan throws a leg kick but Evans sees it coming and moves out of range. Evans has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sloan is landing a low percentage of strikes. Sloan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sloan tries a low kick but Evans avoids it. Sloan scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Sloan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sloan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Evans. Sloan throws a quick inside leg kick. Sloan throws out a leg kick but Evans moves out of range and Sloan only half commits. Sloan throws a nice inside leg kick. Sloan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sloan throws a leg kick but Evans sees it coming and moves out of range. Sloan misses with an attempted mid kick.
Evans on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Evans misses with a straight left. Sloan throws a head kick but Evans moves out of range.
Donk. Evans catches Sloan right on the button with a cross. A shot to the liver by Evans. Beautiful body shot. Archie Evans is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Evans throws a hook to the side of Sloan's head but Sloan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sloan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Evans avoids it really well and circles away. A little jabbing left from Evans on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sloan throws a head kick that misses and Evans cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice straight punches there by Evans. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Evans. Sloan throws out a leg kick but Evans moves out of range and Sloan only half commits. Evans swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Evans throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sloan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Evans swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sloan. Evans tests Sloan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
 Sloan is rocked! Sloan gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Evans counters with a double leg. Sloan bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Evans follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Archie Evans! Archie Evans decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
