Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Osborne (ranked 2869 p4p, 2932 weight class) and Steven French (ranked 291 p4p, 295 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven French!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osborne blocks a low kick nicely.
It looked like Osborne wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
French throws a shot from downtown. Osborne moves away and avoids it.
French tries to score with a low kick but Osborne moves his leg out of the way.
A decent looking cross lands there for French.
French with a nice calf kick.
French is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
French lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
French will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Osborne throws a big counter combination but French scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Osborne throws a shot from downtown. French moves away and avoids it.
Osborne looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

French throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A jab from French does it's job there.
Osborne drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
French tries to land a leg kick but Osborne saw it coming and moves away.
French throws a series of punches but Osborne moves out of range.
Osborne tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
French misses with a double jab
and Osborne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Steven French has been cut.

French tried to score with a low kick but Osborne checks it.
French throws a leg kick
and Osborne counters with a nice right hand that sends French toppling to the canvas! French scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Osborne finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osborne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. French sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Osborne avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Steven French seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Osborne fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
French is looking to chop away at Osborne's legs.
Osborne thows a left - swing and a miss!
Osborne throws a lazy right hand but French sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Some bone on bone action there as Osborne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
French feints and then cracks Osborne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Osborne down.
Osborne pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
French throws a poor cross that misses
and Osborne counters with a nice uppercut.
French lunges at Osborne with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Osborne's hand.
That kick from French tenderised Osborne's leg. Osborne is trying to keep his angry face on.
French throws out a leg kick but Osborne moves out of range and French only half commits.
A low kick from French misses
and Osborne counters with a crisp right hand that drops French! Osborne lets French back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
French is rocked!
That has opened up Steven French's cut even more.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
French misses with a low kick as Osborne jumps back.
Osborne swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
French is still on wobbly legs! Can Osborne finish him?
Osborne catches French with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and French forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
