Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yugo Sawamura (ranked 5296 p4p, 3306 weight class) and Wade Christian (ranked 328 p4p, 259 weight class). Christian has chosen Nico and the Niners as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Yugo Sawamura has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yugo Sawamura seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yugo Sawamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Christian!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawamura shoots for a double leg takedown but Christian sprawls well. He's pushed Sawamura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Christian is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sawamura moves in looking to clinch but Christian pushes him off.
Christian drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sawamura defends it well.

Sawamura shoots in for a double leg but Christian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sawamura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Christian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sawamura somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yugo Sawamura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Christian dives in and scores a takedown into Sawamura's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Christian stands and throws Sawamura's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Christian controls the position from side control.
Christian passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sawamura!
Christian moves to the back.
Sawamura turns into Christian and is now in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Christian has control of Sawamura's left arm, preventing Sawamura from doing any damage.
Sawamura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Christian on the ground.
Sawamura has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Christian to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sawamura is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Christian pulls down on the head and he's put Sawamura to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wade Christian!
