Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gorath DeeStroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jude Donovan!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from DeeStroy. Those never looked like landing.
Donovan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Donovan lands a lovely overhand right.
Donovan loads up on a big right hand but DeeStroy slips the punch.
DeeStroy tries to counter with a takedown but Donovan is quick to defend against it.
DeeStroy doesn't manage to clinch there - Donovan circles away.
DeeStroy goes for a double leg but Donovan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Donovan continues to drive forward.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Donovan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Donovan lands a jab.
DeeStroy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Donovan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging DeeStroy to the ground. Donovan is now in DeeStroy's guard.

DeeStroy has his foot on Donovan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Donovan works his way back into a safe position though.

DeeStroy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Donovan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jude Donovan dominated that round.
That's time! DeeStroy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Donovan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A jab from Donovan misses.
Donovan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
DeeStroy shoots and misses
and Donovan counters with a shoot takedown. DeeStroy fights it but they end up in guard.
Donovan loads up on a big left hand. DeeStroy felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Donovan looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! DeeStroy can't hide his disappointment, as Donovan celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jude Donovan!
