Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Novikov (ranked 4216 p4p, 4575 weight class) and Kim Sang Woo (ranked 391 p4p, 417 weight class). Ivan Novikov has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Novikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kim Sang Woo! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sang Woo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Novikov is trying to defend but Sang Woo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sang Woo is looking for a kimura but Novikov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sang Woo to get the leverage. Novikov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sang Woo passes to side control.
Sang Woo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sang Woo working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Novikov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sang Woo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Novikov is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Novikov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sang Woo goes for an armbar but Novikov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Novikov. Novikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sang Woo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sang Woo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Novikov looking to sit in guard and control but Sang Woo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sang Woo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Novikov's guard. Sang Woo wants to free his trapped foot but Novikov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Novikov's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Sang Woo is thwarting Novikov's attempts to control the position. Novikov is looking to improve his position.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sang Woo moves into full mount! Novikov won't be happy about that! Sang Woo avoids the attempt from Novikov to control.
Sang Woo has hold of Novikov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Novikov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sang Woo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Novikov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Novikov shrugs it off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sang Woo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Kim Sang Woo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sang Woo stuffs the takedown attempt from Novikov. Novikov gets slowly back to his feet. Sang Woo has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Novikov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sang Woo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sang Woo advances to full mount. Sang Woo avoids the attempt from Novikov to control.  That's one minute gone in the round. Sang Woo uses his free foot to push down on Novikov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Novikov.
Sang Woo has control of Novikov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Novikov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sang Woo is working for a guillotine from mount but Novikov frees his head quite easily.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Novikov tries to lock up and control but Sang Woo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sang Woo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Novikov wants to control from the top but Sang Woo keeps moving. Sang Woo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Novikov stopping the sweep attempt from Sang Woo. Novikov wants to control from the top but Sang Woo keeps moving. Sang Woo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sang Woo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Novikov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sang Woo but great work by Novikov.
Novikov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sang Woo has escaped the position, nice work there. Sang Woo manages to get back to half guard. Sang Woo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Novikov prevents Sang Woo from improving his position. Sang Woo is pressing down on Novikov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Sang Woo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Oh but Novikov is tightening it up a little... Sang Woo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sang Woo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sang Woo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Novikov!
