Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pierce Walter (ranked 25838 p4p, 4039 weight class) and Elijah Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elijah Conner has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pierce Walter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Conner! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conner clinches up with Walter and pushes him back against the cage.
Walter manages to break the clinch.
Conner drives through and clinches with Walter against the cage.
Conner manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Walter managing to block the knees to the body from Conner.
Walter misses with a short punch on the inside. Conner pressing his opponent against the cage. Conner wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Conner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Conner moves into range and clinches up with Walter.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Conner decides to pull guard. Conner has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Walter has passed into side control.
Conner is looking to regain half guard here but Walter keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walter tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Conner wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! A control attempt from Conner but he's now mounted!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Walter wants to control the pace but Conner is squirming around nicely. Walter prevents Conner from getting the reversal. Conner tries to control Walter's body but Walter pushes him off. Conner squirms to his side and now Walter has his back! Conner rolls, trying to escape but Walter keeps control of the position.
Walter looking to hold on to the position here but Conner rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Conner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Conner is adopting a defensive guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Walter preventing the sweep. Walter trying to control but Conner is working from the bottom. Conner is controlling Walter's posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Conner can do anything to dispel that myth. Conner looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Walter puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Conner keeping control of the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Conner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Walter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Walter's back! Conner misses with an elbow to the head. Conner slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Walter turns into Conner and is now in his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Conner is adopting a defensive guard. Conner wants to stand and escape but Walter is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Conner dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Conner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walter's waist but Walter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Conner off to one side. Walter throws a quick counter kick to the body but Conner avoids it. Walter throws a leg kick
and Conner counters by moving into the clinch. Conner holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Conner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walter's efforts to push away. Conner effectively controlling the action here. Conner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Conner jumps guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Walter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Walter throws a big elbow that misses.
Conner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Walter landing some decent shots from guard.
Conner looking for a guillotine here but Walter defends easily.
Conner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Conner has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Conner keeping moving, preventing Walter from controlling successfully.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Conner wants to get back to his feet but Walter is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Conner shoots in for a takedown but Walter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Walter walks into a jab. Walter moves in looking to clinch but Conner pushes him off. Walter slaps away a takedown attempt from Conner, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pierce Walter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elijah Conner. Conner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A right-left combo lands from Conner. Conner misses with a takedown attempt
and Walter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Conner is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Walter pulls his head out easily. Walter trying to control from half guard but Conner is working away.
Walter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Conner is just riding it out for now. Walter eventually gives up the hold. Conner wants to sweep but Walter has passed to side control! Conner is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Walter has just dragged him back down to the mat.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Conner tries to get back to half guard but can't. Conner wants to control but Walter postures up. Conner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Walter. Walter avoids the strikes from the bottom by Conner. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Walter looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Conner is avoiding damage well.
Walter prevents Conner from escaping the position. Conner tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Walter easily slips into full mount! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Pierce Walter will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Conner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Conner lands in his opponent's guard. Conner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Walter lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Conner pulls Walter in close to his closed guard and prevents Walter from doing any damage or advancing position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Walter passes Conner's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Walter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Walter trying to pass the guard but Conner defending well. Conner wants to get back to his feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Conner is trying to control but can't.
Conner keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Conner is looking to get back to full guard here but Walter has managed to pass to side control instead. Conner pushes Walter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Walter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Walter working away.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Conner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Conner showed some decent athleticism there. Walter is trying to stand up here but Conner is controlling him well. Walter wants to control but Conner is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Conner is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Conner is looking for a kimura but Walter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Conner to get the leverage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Walter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Conner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walter is looking to stand up but Conner isn't so interested in that idea.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Conner rushes Walter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Conner wants to hit a sweep here but Walter passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Conner there!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pierce Walter. I think Walter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Pierce Walter! Pierce Walter tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
