The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Asmodeus looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Asmodeus defending well as Thorn loads up on a big left hand.
Thorn gets a clinch.
Asmodeus manages to break the clinch.
Thorn swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Asmodeus to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Lance Thorn has been cut.
Thorn misses with a left hand
and Asmodeus counters with a crisp one two that drops Thorn! Asmodeus thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Thorn to his feet! Thorn is in big trouble!

Asmodeus has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thorn is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Thorn. Those never looked like landing.
Asmodeus unleashes a big counter combination but Thorn bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Asmodeus throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thorn.
Thorn throws a hook to the side of Asmodeus's head but Asmodeus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
No joy there for Thorn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Asmodeus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thorn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

It looks like Leonard Asmodeus has been cut.
Thorn misses with an uppercut
letting Asmodeus counter with a right hand.
Asmodeus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Asmodeus is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Asmodeus drops Thorn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thorn looks back up at him and smiles so Asmodeus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Thorn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thorn seems to have got his legs back now.
Asmodeus feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thorn sprawling to the canvas! Thorn rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Asmodeus finish him?!
Asmodeus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thorn.
It seemed like Asmodeus was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Thorn staying out of range there.
Thorn throws a right and a left that both miss.
A big left from Asmodeus misses.
Thorn throws a hook but Asmodeus blocks it.
Thorn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

and Asmodeus counters with a big right hand! Oh Thorn is in trouble here! Asmodeus follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
