Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vasil Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ovaltine Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov misses with a double jab.
Jenkins defending well as Petrov loads up on a big left hand.
Jenkins wants to slow Petrov down by chopping away at his legs.
Petrov throws a body kick that misses.
Petrov lands with a good body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Petrov. Those never looked like landing.
Petrov misses with a low kick as Jenkins jumps back.
Petrov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jenkins throws a head kick but Petrov moves out of range.
Petrov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Ovaltine Jenkins has been cut.
A shot to the liver by Jenkins. Beautiful body shot.
Petrov lands with an uppercut that bounces Jenkins off the cage and back into range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jenkins dodges the punch combination from Petrov.

and Jenkins counters with a nice body shot.

Jenkins tries to work over Petrov's front leg with a kick but Petrov checks it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jenkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A head kick misses from Petrov.
Jenkins was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Vasil Petrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Petrov misses the shot to the body.
Petrov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jenkins.

Jenkins is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Petrov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Petrov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jenkins counters with a three punch combo that has Petrov backing up. Petrov nods at Jenkins to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petrov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jenkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jenkins fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Petrov throws a poor cross that misses
and Jenkins counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Vasil Petrov has been cut.
Petrov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jenkins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Petrov.
Jenkins connects with a nice looking jab.
Petrov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenkins manages to avoid it.
Jenkins doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Jenkins dips to his left and cracks Petrov with an uppercut!
Jenkins throws a head kick but Petrov moves out of range.
Jenkins slips a straight right by Petrov.

Petrov throws a lazy head kick
and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jenkins tries to pass to full mount but Petrov defends it.

Jenkins looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Petrov pushes Jenkins off looking to stand but Jenkins dives back in and keeps control.
Jenkins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jenkins tries to pass the half guard into mount. Petrov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Petrov tries to roll over but Jenkins keeps him under control.
Jenkins is taking a breather. Petrov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Petrov pushes Jenkins off looking to stand but Jenkins dives back in and keeps control.
Jenkins is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Petrov is looking to improve his position.
Petrov wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins prevents Petrov from improving his position.
Jenkins controlling the action here.
Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petrov wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jenkins staying out of range there.
Jenkins drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Petrov defends it well.
Petrov throws a right hand that misses
letting Jenkins counter with a right hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vasil Petrov will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Petrov throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease.
Despite the aggression on Jenkins's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Petrov tries a head kick but it misses.
Jenkins shapes to counter with a head kick.
Jenkins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Petrov throws a right hand that misses
and Jenkins counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A combination from Petrov does no damage.
Jenkins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Petrov to the ground. Jenkins is now in Petrov's guard.
Jenkins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Petrov looking for a sweep. Not yet Petrov, not yet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins passes Petrov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Petrov pushes Jenkins off looking to stand but Jenkins dives back in and keeps control.

Petrov is bucking up trying to escape but Jenkins cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jeez, Vasil Petrov's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vasil Petrov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
