Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jermaine Munoz! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward gets a takedown into half guard. Ward trying to control the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ward trying to mount his opponent but Munoz defends it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ward content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ward's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ward looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Munoz enables Ward to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Munoz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ward not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ward is standing up over Munoz. Munoz looks to escape but Ward dives into side control.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Munoz is pushing Ward's head away, looking to escape. Ward manages to hold on to the position though. Munoz being controlled for a moment. Ward prevents Munoz from escaping the position. Ward staying calm.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ward looks for a takedown but Munoz sprawls well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ward has a takedown stuffed. Munoz stuffs the takedown attempt from Ward. Ward gets slowly back to his feet. Munoz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Ward. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ward shoots in looking for a takedown. Munoz tries to sprawl out of it but Ward keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Munoz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And Munoz tries to counter it with a takedown but Ward pushes his down on his head and steps out. Ward gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Munoz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ward fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ward gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Munoz counters with a straight right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Ward will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Ward looks for a takedown but Munoz sprawls well. Munoz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Ward shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Munoz is trying to defend but Ward finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ward trying to control the pace. Ward has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Billy Ward overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ward is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Munoz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Munoz is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Ward controlling from the full mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. This is a sustained period of stalling by Ward.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Munoz really wants to buck Ward off and get back to his feet. Ward controlling the position easily from mount. Munoz is trying to stand but he's just given Ward his back.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ward is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Munoz has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Billy Ward dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Ward with a poor takedown and Munoz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ward fails with the takedown enabling Munoz to counter with a crisp jab. Ward tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Munoz swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Ward. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ward dives in for a single leg takedown but Munoz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Ward has Munoz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Munoz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Munoz scores with a knee to the head.

 Billy Ward's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Munoz lands a damaging elbow. Billy Ward is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
