Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Lalor (ranked 4059 p4p, 4063 weight class) and Ian Garry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mason Lalor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Garry! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Damien Edna.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garry instigates a clinch.
Lalor has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Garry is trying to keep an underhook but Lalor manages to get the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lalor tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Lalor slows the pace down in half guard. Lalor tries to stand and escape but Garry is controlling the position. Garry holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lalor is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Garry wants to control but Lalor is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Lalor is working for an americana but Garry has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Lalor was thinking about the submission. Lalor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lalor postures up.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Garry gets a clinch. Garry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lalor just stands there and leans against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lalor takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Lalor manages to break the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Garry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Garry is trying to maintain a safe position but Lalor gets an underhook and turns Garry into the cage. Lalor stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Lalor tries for a takedown but Garry manages to get underhooks.
Garry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garry fails to land with a series of punches.
Garry shoots for a takedown but Lalor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Garry moves into the clinch. Lalor throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Garry blocks it with crossed arms.
Lalor wants the takedown. Garry is fighting it off but Lalor persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Garry's guard against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garry has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lalor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Garry. Garry trying to control but Lalor flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Garry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lalor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Garry preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Lalor. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Lalor gets his hands free as Garry looks to control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lalor has good solid back control here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Garry trying to control the hands but Lalor breaks the grip.
Lalor tightening his grip on Garry, looking for the choke. Garry trying to control the action but Lalor just sinks the hooks in. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Lalor dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lalor slaps away a takedown attempt from Garry, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Garry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Garry is trying to control. Lalor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Garry trying to mount his opponent but Lalor defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lalor tries to kick Garry off but Garry keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. It looks like Garry is going to stand back up.
Lalor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lalor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lalor tries to get out of the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Lalor regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lalor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lalor is looking for a triangle but Garry pushes his legs off easily.
Lalor seems keen to control Garry's posture. Lalor wants to stand up but Garry is controlling him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Garry throws a big elbow that misses. Lalor is controlling Garry's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Garry wants to control from the top but Lalor keeps moving.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lalor takes a swing at Garry's ribcage but misses. Lalor throws a head kick that misses. Lalor slaps away a takedown attempt from Garry, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lalor is looking for a counter combo. Garry tries to close the distance and clinch but Lalor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lalor throws a right and a left that both miss.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Garry gets tackled into the cage by Lalor. Lalor maintains the clinch. Garry blocks an elbow strike. Garry struggles to land a body shot inside as Lalor controls his hands.
Lalor tries to pull guard but Garry holds him up against the cage and eventually Lalor drops back down to his feet.
Lalor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Garry can do to turn this around? Garry wants to take the fight to the mat but Lalor manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Mason Lalor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Garry. Garry tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lalor has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Garry clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Lalor doesn't have the hooks in and Garry manages to turn into his guard.
Lalor pulls Garry in close to his closed guard and prevents Garry from doing any damage or advancing position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Garry's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Garry preventing the sweep. Garry trying to control but Lalor is working from the bottom.
Lalor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lalor controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garry wants to control from the top but Lalor keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mason Lalor will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Garry tries to clinch there but Lalor circles away.
Lalor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lalor went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Lalor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lalor content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Lalor wants to stand but Garry is controlling his arm. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lalor landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. A lull in the action here. Lalor wants to stand but Garry has his arm trapped.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Lalor scoring with punches and elbows. Lalor lands an elbow. Lalor wants to stand but Garry has his arm trapped. Lalor staying calm.
Lalor stands up and we're back to a striking position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Garry throws a sloppy head kick and Lalor moves out of range easily. It looked like Lalor was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Garry feints and as Lalor raises his hands in defense, Garry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lalor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Garry won't allow Lalor to get back to his feet. Garry is looking to pass into half guard but Lalor pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lalor is in guard.
Lalor's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mason Lalor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lalor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garry swivels though and keeps the full guard. Garry wants to sweep but no luck. Lalor chips away with some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lalor's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Garry wants to sweep here but Lalor controlling him for the moment. Lalor chips away with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lalor has passed into side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Garry tries to control but Lalor manages to take his back. Garry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lalor is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Garry defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Garry is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Lalor keeps control of the position as Garry tries to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lalor biding his time, controlling Garry.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Lalor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lalor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
